building depth and value

In a printmaking class at Cal-State Fullerton, we were learning how to layer dark tones with the etching process. The artist Caravaggio was introduced as an expert to study and learn from ~ to build our depth of values through repeated acid baths.

I made five copies of my Caravaggio print, with each print being truly unique. I attempted to make them as similar as possible, but leaned into the abstract composition and just had fun with it.
